About RoCo Dance Preview: This production held at RoCo Dance & Fitness, Fairfax is for most of the entry level children's dance classes kindergarten-3rd grade. RoCo Preview is a wonderful opportunity for young dancers to experience their first performance with lighting and costumes in an intimate setting with family and friends. As dancers graduate into the older levels they will participate in RoCo Dance Onstage at the Marin Center in San Rafael.

Mandatory Technical Rehearsals:

This rehearsal is in addition to scheduled weekend performance workshops for junior/senior classes.

About RoCo Dance Onstage: We finish each of our school-year sessions with our production of RoCo Dance Onstage, held in San Rafael at Marin Center Veterans Memorial Auditorium.
RoCo produces energetic and entertaining performances for the entire family at the end of each session. The productions emphasize the importance of open participation in ranges of ability, age and style. These shows are held at the Marin Center Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium, in San Rafael. They give students an opportunity to refine and present their skills in a professional, two thousand-seat theater with lighting and costume design. These performances teach theater etiquette, build camaraderie and support amongst the students, resulting in a great sense of accomplishment and pride.

Tickets:
"RoCo Dance Onstage" $18. for one show. Both shows for $27.
Tickets go on sale 1 month prior to the show. Please get them in advance.

About Mandatory Technical & Dress Rehearsals:
In order to participate in the show, all performers must be present for rehearsals at the Marin Center Theater. Each class will have 1/2-1 hr. lighting and spacing rehearsal onstage.
Please note, some of the youngest classes (toddler thru 3rd grade) may need to be excused from school early these days. Please let us know in advance if there are school conflicts/events with your scheduled time.

Performance fees :
Preparation for the show occurs in class for most toddler and child classes. Modern, jazz, breaking and upper level hip-hop, hold performance workshops outside of class on different days and times to prepare for the show. These fees are not included in class pricing. (see pricing)

Costumes:
Each instructor chooses his or her costumes a pproximately two months prior to the performance. Notices are sent home regarding payment amount (ranging from $20-$40. per costume) or costumes/accessories that need to be provided by the student.

Directions to the Theater:
Going north or south on Hwy 101 take East San Pedro Exit to Civic Center Drive and follow signs to Verterans' Memorial Hall.

About "Alice" is a delight for the entire family. A modernized and urban rendition of the bizarre Lewis Carroll tale, Alice in Wonderland. This one-of-a-kind, colorful and surreal production is filled with humor, physical intensity and drama. Original video projection, sets, and lighting transform the stage and 15 Alices of all ages are cast and morphed to pull you through her wild dream and journey of self-discovery. The dance is set to original music composed by Rim Laurens with narration, opera, pop and rave samples. "Alice" is directed by French choreographer, Daisy Stoloff with choreographic collaborators, Annie Rosenthal Parr, Alison DeOliveira, Miles Kenedi, Erica Jeffrey, Gabrielle Thompson and costume designer, Wendy Medieros. The cast features nearly 150 selected modern, jazz, ballet, hip-hop and break dancers from RoCo's youth program, Body Language, (RoCo's modern dance company), professional break dancer, Miles Kenedi and professional modern dancer, Annie Rosenthal Parr, founder of RoCo.
