The purpose of this intensive class is to provide advanced instruction, conditioning, and training for students interested in representing in competitions outside of the studio setting. Students in this course are expected to be practicing independently outside of class, be willing to assist in mentoring/teaching other youth at open sessions, and represent in competitions within the community when available. The focus of this class will be on having students find, develop, and express their individual free style.
Invites to this class are by instructor approval only. Students must be concurrently enrolled in either Breaking 3 or Senior Breaking at Roco Dance (Mill Valley or Fairfax).
Students in this class must have participated in at least two breaking competitions within the last session and be able to attend at least one open practice session weekly.
In order to maintain enrollment for future sessions, students must participate in at least two competitions during this current session. (http://ark808.com/ec/)

This class culminates in one out-of-state competition trip per session as determined by current events being held in North America. The Spring 2017 trip will be to Seattle on the weekend of May 20th for “Massive Monkees Day” crew battle. We will organize opportunities such as street shows and performances in order to fundraise for transportation/fees for this event.
Students are concurrently enrolled in their appropriate breaking-level class at Roco Dance and thus this class will not specifically have a performance piece for the Roco Dance Onstage show at the Marin Civic Center Theatre.
