Registration is now open. Our full Day Camps will be offered for kids entering the 6th grade in the Fall and all the way up to 10th grade (with the exception of our Mixed Style Week which is 7-12th). Full Day Camp classes will begin at 10:30am and go till 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Half Day Camp classes will begin at 9:00am and go till 12:00pm. We also have Summer classes for kids of all ages and below you will find a schedule of which weeks will be hosting which dance styles, and where those classes will be held. If you have any questions, please call

RoCo 20 years later

This Spring will mark the 20th Anniversary of RoCo Dance in Marin County. We will be celebrating this milestone with the presentation of “Peter” this Spring amongst other events and special recognitions. We’d like to thank everyone who has been a part of our community, and we’re looking forward to the years ahead. Founded in 1993 by professional dancer Annie Rosenthal Parr, RoCo programs 175 classes weekly for adults and youth. In their two locations within Marin County, RoCo attracts the Bay Areas finest instructors and master teachers. Classes include all levels of Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Hip Hop, Breaking, Brazilian, Zumba, Pilates and more. Performances are held 4-6 times annually at Marin Center and RoCo’s performance space in Fairfax.

RoCo Dance is celebrating it’s 20 Year Anniversary this Spring with a new original dance production entitled “Peter.” This dance production is a modern twist on the classic story of Peter Pan, and is directed by Annie Rosenthal Parr with original music composed by Beth Custer and costume design by Molly DeVries. Choreographic collaborators include acclaimed Bay Area artists such as Christine Cali, Joe Gray, Miles Kenedi, Jennifer Meek, Melinda Neal, Helen Nowik, Gabrielle Thompson, Casey Thorne, Kate Vigmostad and Meegan Herstensteiner. RoCo’s “Peter” is a surreal fantasy bridging the old world with the new and into the future. Each chapter of the story is stylized though genres of dance by introducing ballet, modern, hip hop, jazz and break dancing. RoCo narrates “Peter” through dynamic movement, video projection, original music score, costumes and unique light design. Performers include selected upper level dancers from RoCo Dance’s teen program. The first half of each evening will open with it’s own separate showing of “RoCo Dance Onstage”, which will showcase dances of all genres and age groups. This performance will include RoCo’s youth dancers that are not performing in the “Peter” production. Our “Peter” performance will begin after intermission.

Performances will be held at Marin Centers’ Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium.

OSHALLA MARCUS

Starting May 16th at the FAIRFAX Roco studios, we will be having a special guest instructor, Oshalla Marcus. Thursdays at 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Start Spring off right with a Celebration of Afro-Beat with Oshalla Marcus teaching African-Jazz! Featuring the music of FELA KUTI and more. Oshalla brings together traditional West African movement, Afro Cuban Folkloric Dance and much more in this energetic, fun mixed level class. Come check it out!

Oshalla Marcus is a Performance Artist and Health Educator who uses Dance,Yoga, Pilates Mat Training, Bodywork Therapies & Theater Art to assist individuals in creating a harmonious relationship with their body, mind & spirit. Ms. Marcus has worked in the field of Wellness and disease prevention for over 30 years. With a strong foundation in professional dance and a commitment to peak performance, she combines various styles, creating fun, mixed level classes.
